I’m sure you’ve wondered for years–am I edgy enough? Do my thick rimmed glasses say, trying too hard? Is loving Neil Diamond and going to the Sound of Music sing-a-long at the Bowl so anti-establishment, that it’s actually, cool? As it turns out, only 2.5% of people are true hipsters–most of whom are non-native Angelenos, as a native-Oregonian client-slash-hipster pointedly observed. I landed deep in hipster territory when I indicated my love for MGMTs last album, then just missed the boat because of my disdain for skinny jeans. P.S. Neil rocks and so does Julie Andrews. Sunbeam Vintage, located in an unassuming warehouse in Highland Park, is home to the most impressive collection of photogenic furnishing I’ve seen in L.A.
