Hollywood Hookah Wakes Up Sleepy Brand Blvd.
18 Jun 2012Got a chance to check out the Glendale branch of Hollywood Hookah this weekend and all I’ve got to say is, can’t wait! With the official grand opening scheduled for Saturday, June 30th, this hookah lounge and bar hopes to bring a little action to this sleepy part of Glendale’s Brand Blvd. Seriously, as much as I love Glendale, the main strip is dead by 8pm, even on weekends, save for the Americana.

25 May 2012Friday, 5/25/12: Mole Manhattans at La Cuevita I used to live 4 blocks away from Highland Park’s Little Cave. So when I heard that this beloved Eastside institution would be no more, I was pretty devasted–that is, until I saw it. Debuting on Cinco de Mayo as “La Cuevita,” or Spanish for “the little cave,” the bar has been reborn as “a new, Old-World Mexican grotto.”
