Stopped at Murakami Sushi in Hollywood yesterday en route to the Anthony Bourdain–Roy Choi face off at the Pantages. If you’ve never tasted what a bowl of fresh clean living tastes like, be sure to try a their famous sushi bowls. It’s like a dewy spring morning in your mouth.
As some of you know, I’ve been making a concerted effort to be kind to my insides by eating as cleanly as possible M-F. Not only was it savory and flavorful, it was also cheap and just a stones throw from the overpriced and underwhelming eateries by the theater.
Bowls start at $6 and offer everything from spicy tuna and scallops to uni and avocado. The eel was otherworldly and so was the garlic soy and Roy Choi.
