The negative stigma is mostly due to sub-par, paint n’ dash jobs that don’t justify asking $200k more, 60 days after the last close–not to say this doesn’t happen. However, in this sea of everyday flippers is a small group of true property developers. These guys don’t just throw in Home Depot stock cabinets, rip out a crappy lawn and sprinkle cedar chips–they go all out and get handsomely rewarded.

14 Mar 2012I think I might have scooped the LA Times! Yesterday, they published their first story on the flipping wave in Northeast LA. In January (3 months and a millenia ago in real estate time), I blogged about what I was experiencing on the ground and tips to successfully flip. The only update to add is with spring and summer approaching, I’ll bet a nickle that demand will only get more ravenous among cash-wielding developers.
