Things to Do in Los Angeles

Celebrate the last few days of summer

Pack the SPF, it’s going to be a hot one!

Happy Friday Angelenos! Looking for things to do in L.A.? There’s almost not enough weekend to accommodate everything going on in our beloved city!

Tonight, Atwater Village rolls out the red carpet for Summer Nights on the Boulevard. Street du jour Glendale Blvd. will be teaming with local bands, food and extended hours for shops and restaurants starting at sunset.

Pack your picnics, shake out your blankets as Griffith Park’s Shakespeare Festival comes to a close with As You Like It (Friday) and Macbeth (Saturday). Both shows start at 7PM, the gorgeous venue and tickets–FREE, but donations are greatly appreciated.

On Saturday, check out one of the last local music festivals at the FYF’s 10th outing in DTLA. Weekend passes are still available for $99 to see MGMT, Yeah Yeah Yeahs and 70 more bands through Sunday.

Want to avoid the commotion for a little leisurely shopping/haggling? Downtown Flea is back on Sunday with antiques, collectables and “Etsy-esque” designers. $5 bucks gets you in to treasure hunt, imbibe, nosh from food trucks and enjoy live music. Have a great weekend!
