Happy Friday Angelenos! Looking for things to do in L.A.? This weekend kicks off the official start of summer with events to make your Saturday and Sunday sizzle.
On Saturday, you can hit up Street Food Cinema’s showing of the cult classic, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Office Space at the Electric Dusk Drive-In, or Beetlejuice at Oscars Outdoors. $5-15 with nosh from food truck and live music.
Los Angeles lowers the boom on with 3 events on Sunday that’s sure to tie up traffic for hours! Kick off your Sunday by doing a good deed. Angel City Brewery is hosting “Barks, Bubbles & Brews,” a fundraiser and pet adoption drive benefiting Much Love Animal Rescue. Pups, hops and food trucks will all be on hand to win your heart.
Doing good can make you hungry. When you’re done, head a little west and join the 200,000+ expected to participate CicLAvia on iconic Wilshire Blvd. Wilshire will be beautiful chaos as it shuts down for walkers, runners, cyclists and any other non-motorized modes of transport.
Along the route, after burning a few dozen calories, you can replenish by filling up at the 5th Annual Korean BBQ Festival. There will be a an array of KBBQ grillmasters peddling galbi, bulgogi, a Soju Garden and hugely popular Palsaik and their “8 flavors of pork” — ahh, music to my ears! Have a great weekend!
