Friday, 3/15/13: Flamenco Friday’s at El Cid
Looking for things to do in L.A. this weekend? Kick off your weekend with the sultry sounds and steps of the flamenco artists at El Cid in Silver Lake.
In celebration of their 50th anniversary, El Cid invites Angelenos to celebrate with a $5 (!?#$?) flamenco show featuring world-class performers and musicians. There will also be $5 grub prepared by El Cid’s executive chef and custom crafted cocktails. ¡Olé!
When: Fri. 3/15, 8PM (traditional show), 10:30PM-1AM (flamenco-jazz fusion)
Where: El Cid, 4212 W. Sunset Blvd., Los Angeles, 90029

Saturday, 3/16/13: The Bacon Social
Just in time for St. Paddy’s Day, the “brainchild of bacon loving Angelenos” is back! Descending on DTLA, The Bacon Social will feature 100 pounds of free bacon, bacon-infused cocktails, exhibitions by local artists, live music and an arcade! You had me at bacon!
When: Sat. 3/16, 7PM-12AM
Where: Factory Warehouse, 654 S. Myers St., Los Angeles, 90023
Cost: $6-10
Web: The Bacon Social
Sunday, 3/17/13: St. Paddy’s at the Tap Room
After an unpleasant, spring break like jaunt through DTLA’s St. Paddy’s festival, I’m looking forward to a more grown up experience at the ultraluxe Tap Room in Pasadena.
Located in the classy Langham, soak up the ambiance with a delectable Bacon Paddy cocktail made with Jameson’s, maple syrup and muddled strawberries in a glass rimmed with bacon bits ($14), Corned Beef Sliders ($15) and Bacon-Braised Brussels (say that 10 times, $15).
When: Sun. 3/17, all day
Where: The Tap Room at the Langham, 1401 S. Oak Knoll Ave., Pasadena, 91106
Cost: $8-15
