Debuting today, with loans docs still fresh, is this 1916 California Bungalow in Highland Park. Purchased in April 2012 for $305k, it features new systems and mainly cosmetic upgrades. If you’re like me, after a while, all flips look the same with by the paint-by-numbers kitchens, stainless appliances and more deer horn decor than you can shake a stick at.
Unlike other flips in NELA, the pre-flip was a pretty well-maintained, albeit dated home. But the stuff of legend–the built-ins, the fancy woodwork, moldings and wood floors were already there. Needless to say, this was quite a coup for the developer.
While it’s a flip, you can’t deny that it’s 1) in a desirable location near the Metrolink, 2) it’s priced relatively well 3) the built-ins are freakin’ awesome. For more information or to inquire about riding the flip train, let me know.
