1931 Spanish: 695 Luton Dr., Glendale, 91206

Few things are better than a hearty price drop on a head-turning home. For your consideration, today’s drops are on a 1931 Spanish and 1950 Mid-Century with reductions of $20k50k. Frankly, based on their stats, these homes shouldn’t still be on the market.

For the Glendale Spanish, I credit bad listing photography for doing it a huge disservice (I took the photo above). Glendale + Spanish + View rarely lasts on the market–especially when it’s on a beautiful, winding street. Yes, it’s a cosmetic fixer, but look at those bones! While the Mid-Century offers modern appeal, high ceilings and a panoramic view, there’s no yard–I, for one, can handle a panoramic view. Wow, those are some hefty price reductions. The Luton Drive home could have been staged at a small fraction of the price drop. Staging and good photography can sell homes, and with a character Spanish in a good neighborhood, it’s almost a guaranteed quick and lucrative sale. Wish the seller/agent had talked to us first!

Yes! Staging would have done wonders. That Spanish house is so beautiful. It’s perched on a knoll at the top of the hill. It literally made my heart flutter when I saw it.
